Jibhi is a wooden-house village in the Banjar sub-division of Kullu district, strung along a stream at roughly 2,250 m on the road that climbs toward Jalori Pass. It is the quiet counterweight to the busier Kullu and Parvati valleys — deodar on both slopes, a handful of guesthouses, and not much that asks to be photographed. Things to do in Jibhi start with walking, because almost everything here is uphill from the village.

Jalori Pass tops out at about 3,120 m some 14 km above town, and Serolsar Lake is a five-kilometre forest walk on from the pass. The Great Himalayan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, takes in the Tirthan watershed in the same sub-division, with trekking permits issued at the Sai Ropa office. Between the walks, the village runs on small things — a café set, a workshop in someone's guesthouse — so check what's actually listed this week.
